Foraging Portrait.....
A Lesser Flamingo (Phoenicoparrus minor) was feeding under the salty muddy water. Interestingly in their menu, some diatoms are there that render the pink colour of the bird. I had to walk on my knees in the middle of such salty wet desert to approach them. After three longs hours effort and wait, got some close ups of the stunning species. I love the colour combination of the ambience and the bird really. Pics was taken in the Little Rann of Kutch, Gujrat, India.
