Lost Alleyway

Instituto Cervantes, Manchester.

 

I took this shot in 2012 whilst wandering around Manchester photographing street art; at the time, I thought it looked staged with theatrical props for a TV sitcom:

 

- ladders

- bike

- wheelie bin

- pot plant

- back street café bar

 

who knows if it was, or wasn't.

 

With a vague idea of where I took it, and a virtual tour via Google maps, I think it's the alleyway underneath the Insituto Cervantes on Deansgate; this ties-in with Dimitri's restaurant next door.

 

The foreground bollard embossed and painted with the city's iconic bee symbol is a giveaway for Manchester.
