In the past, Sweetwater builds tended to lean hard into intense, gear heavy weapons that were awesome, albeit over the top. With the brand being borderline defunct, I won't and don't, feel the need to build to that old style. My SPW builds are gonna be a modern interpretation of where the world is now. Streamlined design and inherent usability over add-ons and gear. I miss the old days, and I still enjoy the challenge of the app. I'll continue to build every now and again under the Sweetwater mantle. I figure there is no longer any harm in chipping away at the old design philosophy of heavyweight design and uber-tactical stuff, I want the brand to actually look high speed, low drag and have a hard grounding of realism. Think of my interpretation of SPW as a PMG Heckler & Koch.
