Wolds Gold!
I took this shot several months ago, when this crop of barley was nearing harvest time. The filed is along part of the 'Wolds Way' footpath in the rolling landscape of the East Yorkshire Wolds. One of my favourite local ales shares an almost identical name to the title of this photo and is no doubt brewed from the malted grains of a similar crop - I don't know whether this particular crop goes for brewing or for another purpose.
