de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver floatplane at Chelan
A lovely old DHC-2 Beaver floatplane, operated by Chelan Airways and running a service between Chelan and Stehekin in mid-northern Washington State, USA. I was lucky enough to enjoy the service to Stehekin and luckier still to have the co-pilot's seat (as a passenger) for some spectacular aerial views of this beautiful part of the world, not to mention the interest in how the aircraft was operated at each stage of the trip from take off to cruising, approach and landing. Needless to say, my SLR camera was clicking away all the while! Taken on Kodak Elitechrome 100 ASA slide film in August 1999, using a Nikon F70 35mm SLR camera. the original slide was digitised using a Plustek 8200Ai 35mm film scanner to DNG raw file and then processed using Capture One Pro 23.
