There was a thirst for knowledge

We became the teacher and the student to one another

Driven by the desires of sexual pleasure

A strong magnetic pull

Aware of his thought forms in all its intoxications – no matter how far he was from me

Addicted to his presence

 

Destruction, dismantling of the ego

We held the mirror to one another

We each had valuable lessons to learn from one another

This was only possible once we reached the point of no return

Karma was a bitch at times – that was not my intention

 

Many years separated us by choice

Only to rekindle our lives together this past 15 years

This time on solid ground

With a higher understanding

Validation and forgiveness

Opening of hearts

 

Without the need for one another

Acceptance of what is

Great beauty emerged from this

Two hearts that felt deeply

Without the need for physical expression

Just to be cradled in each other’s arms was enough

A higher love so few experience in a lifetime

 

Rising above the desires of the physical bodies

To higher states of being

Being in each other’s presence

It was enough

How far we had come as individuals

 

Two minds, two hearts connected once more

On higher realms than before

What magic unfolded in this realization

We were meant to be free

No longer tied to by the physical pull of our desires

 

What emerged was a greater respect

A greater love

To love and let each other go

For we both knew the road required a solo ride

 

We had different paths to follow

The gift to emerge was our friendship and love strengthened

But without the need or desire for anything at all

Accept to love and be free to pursue the souls journey

 

Many miles had separated us in the past 5 years

With plans to reconnect when borders open

God had other plans for you

 

I sobbed with tears of joy and elation – you had finally found GOD

You gave your soul to God that fine day through the ritual of baptism

Two days before your sudden death

No greater blessing for me than to know this was the end for you

God always works in mysterious ways

 

I had always loved you from the moment we met

A journey that was fraught with adventure for our soul’s journey

You have ridden the biggest wave of all in the ocean of life

 

Thank you for the journey of a lifetime

A journey so filled with blessings

I will miss our long and lofty conversations into the wee hours of the morning

 

They say your life partner should be someone you can talk to about anything

Best friends who never shy away from speaking their truth

Sharing the most intimate of dreams, desires, experiences

I found this in you my friend

 

I was looking forward to once more being cradled in your arms

Talking about life and all that is good and bad in this world

Catching up on all the adventures in between our last phone call

Sharing space with you if only for a moment in time once more

Eating ice cream with you once more

Solving the problems of the world and praying for a peaceful world

 

I really thought I would see you this year

Visions of adventures when you came to stay

Those long lofty conversations

Until it was time for you for your next destination

 

I never expected your next destination was heaven

 

Your journey was not always easy

But the journey of a true warrior is never easy

We knew this truth

I will cry a little more and my heart will feel heavy

But I know at the higher level

You are in a better place
