43072

43072 accelerates away hard from Loughborough station with a service for St. Pancras.

The HST wears the attractive East Midlands Trains blue and white scheme.

This is the point at where the Great Central main line crossed the Midland, and is the focus of the "Bridge the gap" fund - a superb and ultimately ambitious scheme to link the two separated halves of the GC - The Great Central Railway, and The Great Central Railway (North), which will achieve an 18 mile stretch of preserved main line.
