To enable this mini-project, I have done the following:

1. Removed the huge Hornby buffers and have replaced with the correct pattern Oleo types. I first snipped off the old ones, filed the remnants of the shanks flat and level, drilled out the central locating hole to accept the new Oleo variants. I then test fitted them. I then removed them, primed them, and painted, before fitting with a dab of superglue.

2. I have removed the Hornby tension lock couplings and associated N.E.M sockets and have replaced them with "Instanter" type couplings.

3. I have added Colin Craig brake discs at opposite ends

4. I have painted and weathered the three main components (Chassis, support frame and main tub) separately, using the trusted 'wipe on-wipe off' method.

5. I have added air pipes for the train brake.

6. I added some black splodges to the buffer heads to simulate grease.
