Photographer:Photographer: Franz Mándy (1848-1910), one of the best early photographers in Romania; he run the most successful studio of Bucharest, soon after the retirement of Duschek.
He began working around 1877, in a studio run by his brother, under his brand (J.Mandy or, later, J.Mandy&co.). In 1879, after his brother had left Bucharest, Franz Mandy took over the Calea Victoriei 21 photo studio. In 1881, he moved to another address: "Piața Teatrului (lângă Fialkowski)" . Became Photographer of the Court very early, in 1878.
