Ton Ton
Lui si chiama Ton Ton, ce l' ho da piccolino, me l' avevano portato a giugno scorso, perché era stato tolto dalle grinfie di un cane. Il fratellino l' ha ammazzato, lui invece è stato salvato, ma nessuno voleva occuparsene (aveva all' incirca una decina di giorni), e ho accettato di prenderlo. Sembrava un gattino normale, cicciotto e carinissimo, molto intelligente, fra l' altro, ma purtroppo da luglio ha cominciato ad avere problemi a camminare. All' inizio ho pensato fosse colpa di Beo, che essendo molto vivace e più grande di lui di due mesi, magari giocandoci col suo solito "enorme entusiasmo", gli avesse creato qualche problema alle zampette di dietro, al bacino, o alla spina dorsale. Invece no, lui ha continuato a peggiorare, finchè non è più riuscito ad alzarsi e camminare. La diagnosi dei veterinari è stata: Osteogenesi imperfetta, una malattia genetica rarissima nei gatti, ma anche negli esseri umani, che non fa calcificare le ossa durante la crescita rendendole sottilissime e fragili come vetro soffiato, per cui si possono rompere con molta facilità anche al solo toccarle. E' molto dolorosa, quindi ha bisogno di antinfiammatori (quando proprio vedo che si lamenta anche al solo sfiorarlo), e di calcio che gli sto dando in pastiglie. Dovrebbe riuscire a stabilizzarsi e a stare un po' meglio, a crescita completata, perché ancora è un cucciolo di 6 mesi, e forse ce la facciamo ad arrivare a diventare grandi, tesoro mio.. E' dolcissimo e ci facciamo tante coccole ogni giorno, ma non posso prenderlo in braccio perché si può rompere (dalla lastra che gli hanno fatto i veterinari, è risultato avere già diverse fratture nel suo scheletrino fragile, perciò devo stare attentissima a non creargliene altre). Pensavo che fosse Dorby ad avere la peggior sorte, invece no, è arrivato lui, ed è davvero molto peggio, povero tesoro mio.. Mi sa che al peggio non c' è mai limite.. Però noi siamo forti e ce la faremo! Ton Ton vuole vivere, me lo dimostra tutti i giorni e non sarò certo io ad impedirglielo. Lo aiuterò finchè posso, finchè lui vorrà e ce la farà. :-))
