The Branch Line Society organised 'The Merseyrail Overground & Underground Explorer' a tour taking in the whole 75 route miles of the 750DC Merseyrail network, utilising BREL York 1979 built class 507 emu 507001 and class 508 emu 508134.
Taken at Hooton's platform 2 on the 'Wirral Line' 508134 faces Chester,as we wait for our booked time of 11.25, according to word on the tour 508134 was going to be retired that night after our tour.
