A native of Scotland, David Macpherson has over 30 years of international relocation and logistics management experience, including 24 years with a major relocation firm while living and working in Europe, Canada and the U.S. Currently working and managing the international division, David found the perfect work situation with a strong full service Fidi company that is committed to the relocation industry. Having lived the life of an Expatriate and now a permanent transplant to the U.S., Macpherson has a distinct viewpoint on how to help clients with relocation requirements. Perhaps more than most, he understands what it takes to deliver superior service.
In England, Mr. Macpherson was schooled in the basics of the international relocation industry while working for Ian Nicolson (COO Interdean Relocation Co’s) in London UK and subsequently Peter Carter (Sterling Relocation—UK). While in Canada, Macpherson represented NAVL on the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) and was active within the Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC).
After relocating to New York in 2001, Mr. Macpherson continued to be involved with various tri-state relocation groups. He has been a trainer of sales teams and customer service staff during his work history. Macpherson participated in organizing and presenting an international session for Worldwide ERC’s® annual conference in New Orleans, has been a guest speaker at the conferences, and has coordinated sales conference and agent meeting events in Canada and the U.S. for groups of up to 1000 attendees
