D5714 at Grange over Sands June 1965

This might not be the sharpest photo, but it is worth a look. It shows Class 28 Co-Bo D5714 approaching Grange Over Sands Station in June 1965 with a light load of three Mk1 coaches. A very unsucessful class of loco's D5714 was introduced in March 1959 and withdrawn in September 1968 being cut-up at J Cashmore, Great Bridge in October 1969. With the exception of D5705 which is preserved, the Co-Bo's had all gone by December 1969
