[Awwwww] This photo may be riddled with faults: taken from the back when everyone is looking forward, taken with too dim of lighting, a bit out of focus, yadda yadda yadda... But let me tell you why this photo is great. The people in the foreground are my peers at DUSP. Announcements were sent out, but nothing was organized. Over 20 - maybe 30 - of us showed up in support of our boys, Dom, SK, and D'Yadegr , who performed in the school charity drag show. We must have taken up 1/4 of the audience - and when their act was over - and it was intermission - we all found each other in the back of the room, arm in arm, ecstatic with support and pride for our people. I have never been a part of such a robust, familial, opt-in community. So while they were all looking at the camera, I was looking at them. As awesome as at it was that the guys got up on stage and performed together, it was equally awesome that DUSP came out by the droves!
I like this photo because it's from the perspective of us. The camera is embedded in the group. You can see what it is to be a part of this unit. We are amazing. Capture this! Snap!
