Leaf Buster at Pill
At midday on Wednesday 26 October 2022, a seasonal RHTT heads along the Portbury Line at Pill, near Bristol. This working was 3S59, Hereford (0911hrs) to Swindon Transfer. Motive power was provided by a pair of Colas Rail Class 66 locos, nos. 66846 & 66850. This line is currently freight only, but is due to see a resumption of passenger traffic when the route to Portishead is re-opened. Sadly, implementation of this project has yet again been delayed, this time to 2026.
