Wisemans View Sunrise
My wife and I took the trip she gave me for my birthday that we had to reschedule. This was actually rather fortunate since the water levels were much better than before and the sky was also nicer, and we took an extra day.
We got on the road Friday about 5 AM and made it down to the area fairly early in the morning. We stopped first at a roadside waterfall, then did 4 hikes that day to Upper Creek Falls, Little Lost Cove Cliffs, Big Lost Cove Cliffs, and Linville Falls.
Saturday we drove around primarily to see some waterfalls and hike, saw High Shoals Falls, Toms Creek Falls, Hickory Branch Falls, and ended the day at Linville Gorge. We were staying close by at a B&B.
I got up Sunday morning early and just the pup and I visited Wisemans View and saw this sunrise over Table Rock. Most of the time I see this in warmer months rising over Hawksbill. Pup is pretty adventuresome and he had me a little worried sometimes around these cliffs.
It was a great trip but had a few issues with the new camera and learning to use it, things are different than the old one. Seemed to have some focus problems on many of the shots, and I think my tripod now has a little slop in it...not even a year old.
