Buzzed

Right here we have a flyby of the International Space Station. I was on the parkway with my friend Jaret and shooting some scene along the roadside, when I noticed a very bright non-blinking object out over the valley. I reset my camera and was able to pick it up from this spot until it moved out of the scene over 7 images on 25 sec exposures. I masked them all into the first image to show the trail but keep the stars from streaking. I have noticed plenty of satellites on really clear nights that were barely visible, but this may be my first time noticing this thing. There was plenty of light pollution here as can be seen by the illuminated road as the moon had not yet set, and this is brighter than any stars.

I left the image much larger than normal but with the resolution knocked down to 72 dpi, it can be seen in full detail this way by clicking the arrow pointing down to a flat line on the right, and then viewing "original" size. When doing so if you move all the way to the right side of the image about 1/2 way up there is a dim fuzzy ball that is the Andromeda Galaxy, the most distant object seen by the unaided eye, 2.5 million light years and it contains a trillion stars.
