Gregory Bald Sunrise

There isn't a thing to shoot around my house currently, even at night with the moon out glaring. So here is one from last June at Gregory Bald in the Smokies. When the rhododendron fail, these hybrid azalea can always be counted on to deliver. Anyone wanting to see this in morning or evening light will be required to secure reservations at Campsite 13 and do a lengthy steep hike with overnight gear due to the limited hours of the Cades Cove loop, and also not mind a healthy population of feral hogs and bears in close proximity all night. The remote location and beautiful scenery make it a really special place to see though.
