Faith Candlesticks
I used my Grandmother's sabbath candlesticks and my paper is my affirmation sheet for the month of August, her birthday month. I hand wrote messages. When I messed up the location fo the base of the candlesticks I thought about all the times these had been placed in different places for Friday prayers and abstractly continued the sketching of them not so much trying to be real but evoke the memories of many times seeing them in different locations. And trying to evoke the words said in prayer all over the world at sunset by women through my family line. The affirmation in August that kept repeating was the word Faith.
