Since picking up the 'Kennections' work in September 2016 this is one of three routes that Reading Buses run between Thatcham and Newbury, all of which take roughly the same time - the two Kennections routes serve the North and South Thatcham housing estates every hour whilst the half hourly jet black 1 to Reading serves Newburys Turnpike Estate.
