The end and a final free beer
A collection of hiker trash who made it. A brotherhood. the trail angel is the guy with glasses on his head and he provided the beer. He was offering free lifts into Vancouver.
I have since met hikers on other hikes who have also completed the PCT and its clear we share something. All have that smile, that spark and have stories worth listening too.
For the record I did this when i was 60. True there is a physical aspect to this but to be honest its mainly mental which means you can do it (or something like it) too. We averaged 19 miles a day. That's roughly less than 2 miles an hour
For an after and before look here is a direct link to a day 1 picture. I have lost ~8 inches off my waist and 50 lbs in weight. That's the same pair of trousers too
