A Goblin line . . .

. . . in Goblin Valley State Park. Some goblins can be over 20 feet tall.

"Exposed cliffs reveal parallel layers of rock bared by erosion. Due to the uneven hardness of sandstone, some patches resist erosion much better than others. The softer material is removed by wind and water, leaving thousands of unique, geologic goblins. Water erosion and the smoothing action of windblown dust work together to shape the goblins."

A quick visit on my drive to California. I tried to be quick as I explored the park as the air temperature had already gone past 100F (38C) and it felt MUCH hotter.
