Not even a ripple . . . Explore 19-06-2016 #6

The morning had begun with heavy showers, but as the day progressed the skies started to clear. After arriving at the National Trust parking area at Blea Tarn and making the sizeable parking fee (£££) it was a short walk to the shore of Blea Tarn. It took a little searching to find this composition as with the low water level there were many rocks to choose from.

On the right is a portion of the Lingmoor Fell leading down to Side Pike. In the distance are the Langdale Pikes. Capturing this image was a bit more involved, as the foreground rocks were off shore enough that I was standing in ankle deep water so my slightest movement would disturb the smooth water surface . . . I became quite proficient at standing motionless while holding the remote shutter release. There were several rocks near by that I had attempted to balance on, but it soon became apparent to me that my balancing skills were not sufficient for me to remain dry for long if I were to continue that approach much longer.
