Block modifications
For the rear right part of the block that needed building up, I cut a piece of ali to match the triangular shape of the hole and welded it in.
Welding cast ali is quite tricky as there are a lot of contaminants. I was getting very poor results until I went back to basics and realised I had the amperage about 1/3 of what was needed, the AC balance for cleaning instead of penetration and the wrong type of tunsten (size and composition). When I correct these things suddenly it became a lot easier
