Looking south at the old US - Mexico border crossing between Calexico and Mexicali, April 1969. This was/is the southern extent of California State Highway 111 - note the state highway sign indicating "END - California 111." The official border crossing has since been moved a few blocks to the west to accommodate the increased traffic load going to and from Mexico. Scanned from a Kodak Instamatic negative.
