Towers of Torres Del Paine
View of the towers the park is named for, from the Base Torres Mirador. The hike to the mirador forms one leg of the 'W'. We started the hike at Hotel Las Torres from where the trail climbs steeply to Refugio Chileno. After hitting Chileno, we breaked for lunch. We then continued on the trail that climbed through a magellanic forest to Campamento Torres. A lot of folks camp at Camapamento Torres and head to the mirador at sunrise. But we continued on to the mirador. After 45 minutes of scrambling over boulders and slippery sand, we were greeted with this view at mirador base torres, which also marked the end of the trail. Well worth the nearly hour long knee popper.
