ISS_solar_transit_06-07-2016
ISS Solar Transit taken from Pelsall, West Midlands. This was shot while the ISS was 577Km from my location and it only took 0.94s for it to cross the sun, in that time I managed to grab 17 frames with it showing against the Solar disk.
Technical details
Coronado SolarMax II 60 Telescope BF10
Point Grey Chameleon 13S2M-CS Mono Camera @ 18.3fps
4 x 1000 frames for the solar disk and proms
17 x individual frames showing the ISS against the solar disk
It's a composite of 21 layers. two layers are the finished image for the surface. two layers are for the prominences and then the 17 frames showing the ISS are layered with a mask hiding everything except for the ISS.
