Birów Gród
This is the site of the medieval viking fort of Birów Gród, located on Mt. Birów less then a mile north of Podzamcze, Poland.
The original site was built by the Vikings, and actualy dated back to 1467, however, because it was built from it quickly deteriorated, and all that was left of it was the foundation.
Archeologists and historians were able to use what little was left of the fort, along with historical records of the site, to do an accuarate reconstruction, which was only completed in 2009.
