A view worth climbing for

After climbing to the top of this same peak two days earlier with my wife, I had to do it a second time. Our first venture to the top was in a light rain, and once we got to the summit, we were greeted with overcast skies.

 

I knew that if the sun was out, the karst peaks would create some interesting light beams later in the day. So two days later, when I saw that the conditions were ripe, my wife shopped in the village below as I made the trek to the top again. This was truly the first time I have ever been so hot that I could understand how someone could get heat stroke. But the climb was worth it, and I had the top of the peak all to myself.
