327/365 Pop.....Pop.....POP

Bubble wrap invented in 1957 by engineers Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes in Hawthorne, New Jersey. They sealed two shower curtains together creating a smattering of bubbles. They tried to sell it as textured wallpaper and as the product was unsuccessful they marketed it as greenhouse insulation.. It wasn’t until 1961 that its use as protective packaging was realised.

I am trying to imagine a room decorated with bubble wrap wallpaper and what it would look like after all the bubbles had been satisfyingly popped.

Bubble wrap sales are worth $400 million a year apparently.
