182/365 Filberts

Or hazelnuts or cobnuts if you prefer.

Catholicism is thought to be responsible for the fact that hazelnuts are widely known as filberts because the feast day, or celebration, for France's St. Philbert is held on 20th August. Coincidently this happens to be around the same time that hazelnuts are ready to be harvested.

They grow in profusion all over Cornwall and growing up we'd go gathering the nuts ready for winter.
