071/365 The Laughing Gnome
I found some super cute mini gnomes to go in my planters.
The Laughing Gnome was released as a single by David Bowie in April 1967. Antony Newley was one of Bowie's early influences and he wrote and performed the song in the style of Newley. The Laughing Gnome failed to give Bowie chart success in '67 but when re-released in 1973 it reached No. 6 in the UK charts. The song always made me smile and still does.
I shall call my cute little gnome Bowie.
