The tale of Garuda and Vishnu is a well-known story from Hindu mythology, featuring two important figures: Garuda, the divine bird, and Lord Vishnu, one of Hinduism’s principal deities. The story highlights the themes of devotion, duty, and dharma (righteousness).

Garuda’s unwavering devotion to his mother and his determination to rescue her from slavery reveal his virtuous nature. During his quest, Garuda encountered Lord Vishnu, who was deeply impressed by his loyalty and resolve. As a reward, Vishnu granted Garuda a boon: he would become Vishnu’s mount, carrying him on his back. Vishnu also blessed Garuda with immense strength and immortality. These blessings emphasize the importance of devotion to the divine and the intricate relationship between mortals and deities in Hindu mythology.
