Digital 3D Photography - Half Life 2 - Lost Coast

Here are some 3D screen shots from the mini game Half Life 2 - Lost Coast, using the iZ3D Driver. The more I use this to take 3D Photos in games , the more im convinced what we have here is a new form of Digital 3D Photography, very similar and with many parallels to real world 3D photography.

You still have to set your camera up, find interesting subjects, frame your scene, set your stereo base, and take your shot.

The main differences with real photography is of course you are limited to what the artists have rendered in the game. Secondly your photos are always perfectly aligned, which is good, and the IZ3D driver can produce Side by Side 3D output ( paid upgrade ).

Thirdly the most important difference is in the real world your usually not in danger of getting your head blown off, like you are in a game, but that just adds to fun and the challenge of it. You going into the game with a different purpose and that's to take nice 3D photo's , and you do what you have to do to get through the game to the scenes that you like best.

Is this the new Digital 3D Photography for the 21st Century, agree or dissagree, see this discussion to add your views and to read a tutorial how you can quickly and easily take you own 3D Digital Photographs.
