Sealtest Ice Cream ad in “The Saturday Evening Post,” June 22, 1935.

The Sealtest brand was established by National Dairies in 1934, when it changed the name of its ice cream from Tasty to Sealtest. It was sold at Sealtest Ice Cream Parlors and Sealtest Ice Cream Wagons. When Sealtest began mass production, it sold 267,000 gallons during its first year. By the 1960s and 1970s, production had grown to 4.5 million gallons per year. In 1993, Unilever, the largest ice cream marketer in the world, acquired Sealtest and combined it with the Good Humor company. Sealtest ice cream is no longer made.
