“Twilight Zone” by Victor LaSalle (aka, John Glasby). London: John Spencer & Co./Badger Books SF-13 (1959). Cover Art by S. Nicholson.

Reprint of an earlier 1954 edition from the same publisher, the book contains the 126-page novel, “Twilight Zone,” and a 31-page short story, “Point of No Return” by Max Chartair. Both stories are actually by John Glasby. So, Rod Serling wasn't the first to enter the "Twilight Zone."

“Only a Miracle Could Save Mankind from Extinction . . .”

From the back cover:

The ever-increasing popularity of Science Fiction among the great reading public is an indication of the intelligent layman’s interest in the tremendous technical achievements of the century.

Space travel is already an accomplished fact as far as satellite vehicles are concerned. Space stations, moon probes, and finally landings on our planetary neighbours are just around the corner. Science fiction is the cocktail shaker in which imagination, fact and adventure blend together into a superb educational entertainment. It is literary experience which should not be missed, and, more than that, it forecasts and overshadows the amazingly exciting destiny of mankind.

In this series top line authors and illustrators combine to bring you the cream of today’s science fiction at a price to suit every pocket.

Badger Books were published between 1959 and 1967 in a number of genres, predominantly war, westerns, romance, supernatural and science fiction. In common with other “pulp” or mass-market publishers of the time, Badger Books focused on quantity rather than quality. A new title in each of the major genres appeared each month, generally written to tight deadlines by low-paid authors. One of the most remarkable facts about Badger Books is that much of its output was produced by just two authors (using a range of house names and other pseudonyms). John Glasby (over 300 novels and short stories) and Robert Lionel Fanthorpe (over 200 novels and stories). [Wikipedia]
