Who The Fuck Are You?

A painting by NYC artist Jason Gluskin (July 2013)

Inspired by the energy, magic and testosterone of one of the greatest, loudest rock bands of the U.K., New York City's rock 'n roll painter, Jason Gluskin, has crafted a tribute to The Who.

Gluskin saw The Who in the Fall of 2012 on the Quadrophenia tour. He was blown away by the magic and power that Roger and Pete channeled that night in Brooklyn (and they are in their late 60s!!) Jason was immediately compelled to transcribe the rawness and harmony of the band and their sound on canvas.

The image portrays a muscular Roger Daltrey, a catapulting Pete Townshend, a stoic John "Ox" Entwistle and the rambunctious Keith Moon in their glory (circa 1970-1972), playing in all their glory.

The title of this piece is taken from the line Roger sputters at the end of the powerful song, Who Are You?
