not the picture I planned..

I walked past the couch in my bedroom last night and caught sight of an animal lying flat on the cushions and I thought, "how did a deer get in here?" {I know, I'm not quite sane.]

and then I realized it was chai. I grabbed the first camera at hand, a polaroid and quickly took one shot, tried for another but the camera was out of film. so I grabbed another polaroid and shot a second, but chai had raised his head by then.

the first shot didn't come out.

he's still deer-like even with his ears down.
