mama's cookbook

my mother died long ago, but she had a cookbook that I used from when I was a little girl until I got married.

mom and my dad probably got married in the late 30's. her cookbook was published 1942.

when I got married I got my own cookbook, a newer version of the same one.

my sister took my mother's, but last year I ran into an one like my mother's in an antique store.

now I have hers, too.

**I am slip-sliding into 2015. yesterday when I shot this, in tight quarters, I tripped on the heater cord and fell head first into the bookcase. I got a dent in my head.

today after watering and fertilizing in the greenhouse, I tripped on the hose and fell out the door and landed on the wood step. I have a big strawberry mark on my knee.

getting older and older is hell.
