A Rescue Train on the D&GRN RR

Kenichi Matsumoto: "Last night, I have a new picture on the D&GRN R.R. with the rescue train which I just have finished.

The 2 MW freight cars in the consist are "rail car" and "truck car" are from

the kit of wood and metal by Southern Tool& Manufacturing Co. , once

exisisted in Elon College, N.C.- maybe products in 1950s. I bought these

kits at $7.00 each when I attended the Narrow Gauge Convention of this year

in Pasadena, CA .

The heavy crane is a brass model by Tenshodo in 1950s. The frame of the

car used many hand cut parts from thick brass sheet. They were made

by the prisoner in Chiba Prison as their rehabilitation program. At that

time, they were called "Chiba Workshop" in the Tenshodo office. They also

made the heavy depressed flat car with 6 axles.

The crane tender is Varney's plastic products.

The C&S 2-10-2 is the Challenger Imports-BooRim products and the caboose of

the same road was by the OMI.

Making train consist has a lot of fun for me.
