Vinny Turbo
Donkervoort S8A scale 1/17
The Western Outlaws took a Donkervoort S8A and replaced the original mudguards and body panels by ones in carbon fibers. They made a slightly more aggressive face and put the air intakes on the side of the hood for more efficiency. Put smaller but more powerful headlights. They used the powerful brakes and the gearbox + rear axle of a Porsche 928 GTS for a perfect mass distribution and to accommodate the power increase. Because, instead of the good old Ford 2 liter engine they put a 2l Subaru flat 4 from the Impreza, tuned it for running on hydrogen and added 2 turbos: one low and one high pressure. The little beast now delivers 333 HP. Where the gear box was, they put an electric motor that replaces the starter and the alternator and delivers a little but instant boost of 12,5 Kw when you push your right feet to the floor. But, most important of all, it also powers a Stanley Meyer’ system that produces the hydrogen with the water you fill the tank of (sic).
The final result is called the W.Ows H7O for Western Outlaws Hyper Seven Orgasmo. It weighs 625 Kg for a total power of 350 HP and runs on water! It proves it’s possible to have a lot of fun with a totally ecological vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine. And that is an achievement!
