Upwardly Vickers

Millbank Tower, London, originally known as Vickers Tower. This grade 2 listed complex once held the title of tallest London building, from construction in 1963, although for just 4 years, being succeeded by The Post Office Tower in 1967.

The complex sits just a stones throw away from the site of the notorious Millbank Prison, of which a large proportion of its inmates were awaiting eventual transportation to the Hulk Ships of Australia.
