Deploying

This shot was taken of my husband and 4-month-old son in our backyard the day before my husband deployed.

 

We were very lucky that his deployment was postponed just long enough for him to be there for our twin daughters' birthday party and then he made it home just in time for our son's first birthday.

 

He often had to miss birthdays and anniversaries for deployments and training, so we were thrilled he could be there for all the kids' birthdays.

 

We were even more excited about the fact that this was his final deployment.
