The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres are a pair of stacked theatres, the Winter Garden is seven storeys above the Elgin. The pair were originally built as the Canadian flagship theatres for the Marcus Loew's theatre chain which owned MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer)
