Amarillo, Texas

The Beef Burger Barrel originally opened as an A&W Root Beer stand on Route 66 in 1937. It was located at Hayes and E. Amarillo Blvd. ( E. Amarillo Blvd. was part of Route 66 back then) until 1947 and moved around Amarillo before reaching its current location at 3102 Plains Blvd. in 1952.
