Jack Barn - Brentwood, Tennessee

This old relic was called a Jack Barn. I have no idea what that means and none of my distant "cousins" could explain why it was called that. This old barn was built in 1798-1799 after my ancestors migrated from Virginia and settled in what is now Brentwood. It is one of three original buildings still standing on their property.
