Project 365 ~ #121
#121 of 365 Daily Drawings
Inspiration: I found myself baby-sitting my 3 year old niece for the day
Result: Lily napping
Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Copic MultiLiner SP 0.03, Platinum Carbon Fountain Pen in a Stillman & Birn Gamma series sketchbook ( 21.6 cm 27.9 cm / 8 1/2" x 11")
Location: Home
Note: My niece was feeling under the weather and couldn't attend preschool. The little sweetie spent most of the day napping in a sunny room on the couch beside me as I read. I took the opportunity to practice ...
The Copic 0.03 is definitely too small to use outside smooth papers like that of the Epsilon series as the very fine tip catches too much and I'm sure would decrease the life span of the pen. Having said that the Gamma, like the Alpha series from Stillman & Birn take to the fountain pen very well but for my heavily lined work I will stick to the Epsilon and soon to be released Zeta series. I am hopeful that at some point this company will also introduce a smooth surfaced ivory paper for ink. It would be interesting to draw in sepia on ivory....
ANYway I am now officially 1/3 of the way through my year long project!
