Super Wolf Moon

"The first Full Moon of the year is named after howling wolves. In some cultures, it was known as Old Moon, Ice Moon, Snow Moon, and the Moon after Yule."

"When the Full Moon occurs during the Moon's closest approach to Earth, its perigee, it appears larger and brighter in the sky. This phenomenon is often called a supermoon."

Both above statements are taken from www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/moon/

Last year, in this side of the world, we were treated with what I call a "Lunar Triple Treat"; that is a Super Moon (or a Perigee Syzygy), a Blue Moon (a second full moon in the same month), and a total lunar eclipse that gave the moon a reddish hint (or a Blood Moon. Not to be confused with the Hunter's Moon, also called the Blood Moon, which is the full moon in the month of October).

This year, this side of the world didn't get to witness the lunar eclipse, so I settled for the Super Moon plus Wolf Moon, hence, Super Wolf Moon.
