Múlafossur Waterfall
Múlafossur Waterfall is easily the most famous attraction in the Faroe Islands. The picture-perfect Múlafossur is hidden far away from the crowds in the secluded village Gásadalur on Vagar island some 11 km (7 miles) from Vagar Airport.Múlafossur translates directly to the Promontory waterfall. The village sits high and with a sheer drop where the waterfall plunges into the ocean. There are only 25 houses in the village Gásadalur located just behind Múlafossur waterfall.
Those looking for something extra can stay in the village overnight. The best accommodation option in Gásadalur is the Múlafossur Cottages nestled in the valley. During windy days, you are likely to see the water rising up into the air. This is a common sight all around the Faroe Islands.A big thank you to everyone who took time to comment and take a look at my photo. Much appreciated!
