Hers my 1974 Flintstone Rock Cruncher by AMT model company
I finally got my model done ive had this since around 1984 bought by my grandma I painted it then horribly but saved it through the 28 years.
It was so bad damaged with the paint I did so I soaked it for 3 days in brake fluid to get all the paint off then sanding it as best I could I was missing 2 pieces Fred’s arm which my friend lance made me another and the dinos arm which I just made out of sculpy.
So I always wanted the crane and canopy that Fred sits in so here’s my take made out of card board and tooth picks and pieces of wood with a canvas sides and top
Fred’s legs and arms were always off model so I didn’t use because I needed him to sit upright and I used the stone clay I used on the barney copter to make the crane wheels and I cloth string for the rains and rubber bands for the canopy holder
Its still really rough in freds face and around the dinosaur but it’s been through a lot in the past 28 years so here’s a rebirth to a really rare Flintstone collectible these are extremely hard to find these days
Hope I find more there’s 3 models to this series I have another in the cabinet Fred in a log car
So I want to make more this took about 2 weeks of and on in my spare time also I tried to take pics as I was working on it but kept forgetting there’s some stages like the patching I did on it and painting
